  • To change default banner in template beez3, when in Edit Style, Advanced tab, "Template Colour" is "Personal", change file: joomla3/templates/beez3_dgv1/images/personal/personal2.png. Its size: 1060x288 px, 96 dpi resolution, 20.48 Kb.

  • User Manager under System->UserManager is a true global management environment and different from the pulldown menu under "Users".
  • Favicon size should be 16x16 pixels. Put it in: /joomla/templates/ directory and name it favicon.ico.
  • Images kept in /joomla/images/
  • To get the articles in a blog category to sort on date, particularly modified date, Category Order needs to be set to "No Order".
  • This approach doesn't work so well:
    • Site Name is set under Global Configuration. It will overlap the image "Header Image" set in Template Manager under the Advanced tab. Site Title in Template manager will replace Site Name on the Home Page if it is set.
    • Site Description is set here too.
  • Media Manager (Joomla) vs. Phoca Gallery.
    • Phoca:
      • Is an extension.
      • Can be found under Components -> Phoca Gallery
